Hi, my name is Laura Voight and I go to Otago Girls High School in Dunedin.   I am thrilled to be a Young Ambassador for 2016 as I am passionate about the French language and France and am intrigued to dive further into the history of the Battle of the Somme in which my great grandfather served.

I fell in love with the French language and culture at a young age and have been head over heels ever since.

I hope French will always remain a huge part of my life as I cannot imagine my life without it.  

I am proud to have been selected as a Young Ambassador for the Shared Histories programme, this is such an amazing opportunity to experience French culture, learn about French history and improve my French language.

This opportunity is everything I am passionate about and to me this really is a childhood dream come true.

I can not express how grateful I am in writing to be a part of this this amazing opportunity and I look forward to making and sharing memories both in person and on this blog.
