...and it is safe to say that things have changed just a bit since I left.
I moved to Dunedin and am currently sitting in a cold flat enjoying my last week of freedom before joining the ranks of the oversupplied law student population, I can’t wait to be unemployed in 5 years!
Enjoy France in June this year, it’s a super great time and I am so grateful for all the friendships I made and people I met.
Be open to new experiences while you’re over there, don’t be afraid to speak French and fail at it sometimes and try not to be too serious all the time. Some of the places you’ll visit will be sombre and although it’s important to reflect and remember what happened, keep positive and enjoy your experience with the others.
Keep in touch with those you meet on the trip, despite being all over the country and the world there’s something special about those two weeks that you will remember for the rest of your life.
If there’s one thing I wish we did, it would be to have a reunion of all the young ambassadors a year after the trip so we could like share where we are now and really reflect on how far we’ve come since going.
Nga manaakitanga et bon voyage!
