The success of our Shared Histories Partnership project has been acknowledged by the Ministry of Culture and Heritage in Wellington.
Students from Baradene College of the Sacred Heart in Auckland, NZ and Lycée Professionnel Jean Macé, Chauny, France have worked together on a joint ambitious project to mark the anniversary of the First World War. A large group of Baradene College students presented an overview of the research project and the steps in creating the exhibition and book. They then read from sections of the book that we launched at the event. Finally they gave a presentation about the trip they went on to France. It was a great event.
Great to see the support of people, especially parents and families of the students. But also great to Stephen from Defining Moments who drove down from Whagarei and History teachers from around Auckland and Waiheke Island.
