We only leave this Saturday and I am very excited to depart on this once in a lifetime journey. The path so far has been enjoyable and thought-provoking. We have been able to meet so many amazing people, including our French counterparts, and I can’t wait to see them again. It is going be an adventure we’ll all, never forgot

The trip to Wellington and the week spent with our French counterparts was incredible and something that will stick with me for years to come. The whole experience was filled with a plethora of moments that moved me deeply and others that filled me with happiness. It was an honour to take part in it.

On the 17th of April, in Wellington, I met the rest of the Young Ambassadors, the organisers of our trip and the task in front of us; to be able to tell the story of those who came before during the Great War. I am overjoyed to have received the opportunity to be part of the Young Ambassadors group of 2018. When I received the acceptance email I was thankfully home alone, which saved me from a lot of embarrassment since my reaction was very ecstatic!
An ambitious project led from Christchurch, whose vision is to enable students to build their language and cross cultural skills by making a connection with their own roots, and to share it with others in relation to World War One.
