Young Ambassadors 2018 announced!

Six Young Ambassadors will be travelling on their ancestors’ footsteps in France come July 2018.

Six New Zealand students, who share a common love for learning things French and more, will stay for a period of approximately three weeks in Paris and Northeast France, and will visit historical and cultural sites related to the War and experience commemorative events. This is the third and last Young Ambassadors Tour being organised as part of the Shared Histories project since the period of remembrance for World War One started in July 2014.

The Young Ambassadors will be hosted in a French school for one week and will take part in common activities with their French counterparts. We will get to know them better as the new school year kicks in in our hemisphere in February 2018.

Shani McMullan, Newlands College - Wellington

Emma Hartshaw, Cashmere High School - Christchurch

Rebecca Farquhar Wellington Girls College - Wellington

Eleana Hill Wellington Girls College - Wellington

Jeremy Wright Shirley Boys High School - Christchurch

Katie Sullivan Sacred Heart Girls High School Hamilton - Hamilton
