Le nouveau coquelicot est arrivé
Our little friends in Amiens crafted poppies for year 8 and sent them together with a video where they all introduced themselves. Year 8 at St Margaret's will wear their poppies made in France proudly on ANZAC Day and are now about to craft some for their French buddies.
Year 11 project 2014
Each student in the 2014 Year 11 class has created a fictitious teenager as part of their 1.5 Writing portfolio. Their task is to research every day life in the period from 1914 - 1918 and write letters in French to a partner in Amiens who will respond in English. St Margaret's College in Christchurch and the Collège Étouvie in Amiens started their co-operation a couple of months ago, firstly by creating a forum for a virtual exchange of ideas, texts, pictures, etc. Have a look at the poppelicot wiki.
