Newlands College in Wellington has recently formed a partnership under the Shared Histories project with Collège Louis Nucera in Nice.  We are looking forward to working together to share stories from our communities and their involvement in World War I, and our students are currently in the process of introducing themselves to one another online.

In April 2016, 15 Newlands College students are heading to France for 3 weeks, spending time in Paris and in Nice.  We will be heading to Le Quesnoy for ANZAC commemorations and will tour the Arras Tunnels.  Students are especially looking forward to going to Nice, where we will be meeting up with students from Collège Louis Nucera.  We will be visiting their school and having the opportunity to discover some of the monuments dedicated to World War I soldiers from Nice, among other things.
