Martyrs de Vingré - Example of pages from our book

The photo shows pages from our book that we are publishing as part of our Shared Histories Project. The book will be launched when we are in Chauny, France. The photo shows a section of the book written by the French students in Chauny who researched the execution of a group of soldiers in Vingré. These are known as the Martyrs of Vingré [Martyrs de Vingré]. The book is bilingual in French and English.
Les Martyrs de Vingré sont six poilus, le caporal Paul Henry Floch et les soldats Jean Blanchard, Francisque Durantet, Pierre Gay, Claude Pettelet et Jean Quinault appartenant au 298eRI, connus pour avoir été fusillés pour l'exemple pendant la Première Guerre mondiale le 4 décembre 1914, et réhabilités par la Cour de cassation le 29 janvier 1921.

What an outstanding project you have carried out this far! The quality of the work you have produced is the result of your determination to collaborate, explore and learn with your French partners. Together you are making History live in your respective classrooms and schools. I wish you all the best with selling the book and a fantastic launch to the Exhibition you have planned.
